John has been photographing area sports teams and groups for well over 30 years. In fact, he’s made over 300 team posters! He works with each team to listen to their ideas, and then helps craft those ideas into an image that is as creative as it is unique.
In addition to the team photo, John will also do individual head shots of team members that would like one. He then makes available an opportunity to purchase individual or team photographs in a variety of styles, sizes and formats.
The most popular item is this individual and team collage, available in both 8x10 and 11x14 sizes.
You can meet with John first to discuss your ideas, talk about your theme for the year, and schedule a convenient time for the photo shoot. Most teams bring a few members, a parent and occasionally, a coach. While this meeting is not required, it helps get everyone on the same page so the photo shoot goes smoothly and quickly, and so that you get the poster of your dreams.
The only expense to the team is a $250 photo shoot fee, which covers the cost of doing the photography at your location. It also covers John’s time to edit and lay out your poster with the headline of your choice. Some teams have booster clubs that pay the photo shoot fee, while others divide the fee into the number of players to assess a small charge that is evenly spread between all team members.
As mentioned above, all team members will be able to get individual portraits made for personal keepsakes. Photo prints are available, as are buttons, banners, fridge magnets, even prints on aluminum. John will provide the team with order envelopes to be distributed to the players prior to the photo shoot. These envelopes can be completed and returned to John on the day of the photo shoot. Finished photographs will be delivered within 10–14 working days.
John has worked out a very special deal with Spectra Print for teams to print posters at an extremely good price. You can get 500 posters up to 36" wide for just $500. Their price hasn’t changed in over 20 years! Spectra is the area’s best printer during that time they have been very generous to central Wisconsin sports teams.
